The University of Iowa Habitat for Humanity Chapter is committed to advocating the need for affordable housing in our community, educating others about Habitat, fundraising, and building houses alongside our local affiliate: Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity.
We’re building:
- Homes. As members of the UI Habitat Chapter, we get involved in building actual homes with the IVHFH affiliate. Now, how many of your friends can say they’ve built a home…
- Skills. Not only will you build construction skills, but you’ll improve your communication and team-working skills by taking part in events and other fundraisers with the UI Habitat Chapter.
- Connections. Life is all about networking. Through the UI Habitat Chapter, you’ll meet others — like yourself — who are interested in making a difference.
- Families. Through your effort within the UI Habitat Chapter, we’ll be helping to raise money for the Iowa Valley Habitat affiliate. Our assistance will ensure more families can move into their own homes, and more than that, more families will have a brand new start at life.
- The University of Iowa campus. We’re bringing students from all areas within the University together for one purpose: supporting the Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity affiliate as they give low-income families a hand up into homeownership.
We’re making a difference on campus and involving people from all walks of life to help deserving families into safe, decent and affordable homes of their own.
